FONTELO

UK 

 

A site specific improvised ritual inspired by shamanic ritual and butoh dance which blends Nuno Veigá´s movement, vocals and electronics, with Rick Jensen’s highly processed saxophone.

 

Rick Jensen and Nuno Veiga  presented this project in Dronica #10 // 3-DAY Festival // 3 Years Anniversary, in Temporary Autonomous Art Festival, in Psychosonic Action Lab, Oooh Free-Improvisation Festival in Italy and  with José Macabra at Skronktronic.

 

Nuno has also presented Fontelo as a solo act in Lisbon and Guarda in Portugal.

Worked as a performer for the London College of Fashion on the show New Worn Identities.

 

 

This show presented the final works of the students of the Master of Costume Design for Performance.

 

Costuming was by Mariona Sala de Buen with choreography by Anton Mirto.

The show was presented at Victoria House.

Directed and performed this show in collaboration with Dora Bernardo, material drawn from the text Palabras Encadenadas, by Jordi Galceran. The production of Cena de Eventos was presented at Clube Estefânia in Lisbon.

Ricardo Pais' version of William Shakespeare's text. Hamlet was a co-production between the Dona Maria II National Theater, the Ensemble - Society of Actors, the São João National Theater, the Viriato Theater - CRAEB and the IPAE / Carlos Alberto National Auditorium.

Perfinst directed by Luís Castro on Portuguese cultural identity, created from research done in Azóia / Sesimbra, Caldas da Rainha, Fundão, Ovar, Paredes de Coura, Tavira and Viseu. Performances made in each of the venues, in Viseu at the Viriato Theater and in Caldas da Rainha at the Transforma Association.
